The goal:

In this project, which I conducted entirely on my own, the goal was to design and develop a website for Van der Meer & Van den Bosch law firm. It was important to consider the design for both desktop and mobile versions. The aim of this project was to independently learn coding and design.

The company had already prepared a briefing outlining their requirements. They wanted the website to appear professional, user-friendly, and authentic.

The process

While working on this project, I started by creating a style tile and a wireframe. These tools made it easier to proceed with the project later on. Since I wasn't very skilled at coding websites at the time, I decided to keep the design fairly simple. This allowed me more room to focus on coding the website well and ensuring it was responsive.

I used HTML5 and CSS6 for coding. I had some lessons on these languages in school, but I also did some research on my own and watched tutorials on YouTube to develop the website as effectively as possible.

Throughout the process, I learned to work carefully with HTML5 and CSS6 and write code that's easy to transfer.

The end result

As a result, we achieved a clear and calm website that is also authentic and exudes friendliness.

Following this project, I learned a great deal about coding. I was fairly unfamiliar with it at the start and encountered many challenges along the way that I ultimately resolved on my own.

I also gained valuable insights into design. I discovered that I work well when there are clear guidelines from the client, which allows me to start quickly and make significant progress.
